ALYX FASHION CATALOGUE #3

We have had the pleasure of recently printing this stunning A3 limited edition catalogue for ALYK Fashion, a New York based brand. Showcasing the creative expression of the collection, this catalogue is aimed at boutiques across the globe – this was all possible using the extended colour gamut, unique to the B2 digital Jet Press 720s.

This limited edition catalogue of just 400 copies, is printed for promotional purposes amongst fashion magazine editors, and distribution to the worldwide boutiques stocking the ALYX collection.

Intended to be a desirable and collectable item, is it a creative expression of the collection, rather than a publication to show clothes.

The large format of the catalogue is used to showcase the photography, and to ensure highly visible when it arrives at press offices and boutiques; since visibility is its purpose more than practicality.

Previous catalogues have used the same large format and combination of printing techniques and paper stocks that deliver a responsive tactile experience to stand out in an industry that is dominated by online promotion.

Catalogues 2 and 3 have employed Jet Press for all the main colour shots. Emmerson Press were identified as having the first UK operational Jet Press 720s.

The Jet Press was sought out following research into digital print technology at print trade fairs, as a method to produce very high-quality short run catalogues without restrictions on paper stocks imposed by Indigo.

ALYX was founded by Matthew Williams, the brand is based in New York City and produced in Italy, Matthew combines influences from his upbringing in California and New York with his commitment to detail, innovation and desire to push new ideas forward.

Nick Knight OBE provided the photography and is among the world’s most influential and visionary photographers. Paul Hetherington acted as Art Director and Graphic Designer for the project.
